What arrives
What the updates tend to cover
Everything below is general information about Medicare and about the plans available where you live.
Alerts when a plan changes
When a plan updates its costs, its provider network or its drug list, we may send a short note describing what appears to have changed and where the official detail is published. These changes often arrive by post in documents that are easy to set aside, and they typically take effect whether or not they were read.
Get text updatesEnrollment period reminders
Medicare's windows open and close on a schedule, and most of them require you to act rather than wait. Reminders typically arrive ahead of the dates that tend to matter.
Get text updatesPlain-language explainers
Short pieces that walk through the vocabulary — Part A, Part B, Part D, supplements, Advantage — in roughly the order it usually comes up.
Get text updatesReplies to the messages you send
Send a question back and you may get a reply in plain language, often pointing to the official source that covers it so you can read the full answer yourself.
Get text updatesAvailability, benefits, costs and eligibility vary by plan and by location, and they can change during a plan year. Anything described here is general information rather than a determination about your own coverage, and it should be confirmed against the plan's documents or the official Medicare resources named below.

How it works
Four steps, in order
01
You tell us where to send it
First name, last name, mobile number and state, plus the consent box beside the disclosure on the form.
02
We follow what changes
Published plan documents and Medicare's own published rules, read as they are issued rather than once a year.
03
You get a short text
Written in plain language, with a pointer to the official source so you can check the detail against the document itself.
04
You decide what happens next
Read it, act on it, ignore it, or reply STOP to stop the messages. Nothing is required of you.

The parts of Medicare, and what each one is for
Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D are not tiers. They are separate pieces of coverage that combine in more than one way, and knowing which letter owns which kind of bill makes every later decision easier.

Medicare enrollment periods in plain language
Medicare runs on windows rather than on demand. Most of the frustration people describe comes from missing one, so it helps to know which window you are in and what it actually permits.

How a plan's drug list changes what you pay
A formulary is a pricing document as much as a coverage document. Tiers, restrictions and mid-year changes can all move what you pay at the counter without the plan itself changing.

Official resources
Medicare publishes its own rules, plan comparisons and enrollment dates at Medicare.gov. Free one-to-one counselling is available from the State Health Insurance Assistance Program in your state. For anything that affects a decision, those sources and the plan's own documents are the ones to rely on.
Impactly Media
Medicare changes quietly. The updates do not have to.
Consent is not required to purchase anything.
